LIZ JACKSON, MBACP, DIP THERAPEUTIC COUNSELLING
BA (HONS), PGCE
I am a counsellor and trainer specialising in working with older children and adolescents. I have been working with young people and their parents in school and youth work settings for over 30 years. I also work with adults.
I currently work in schools and in private practice.
I offer integrative therapy in a holistic and non-judgemental way, tailoring my work to the unique needs of every client. Where I think it will be helpful I use TA (Transactional Analysis →). This gives a useful framework for both parents and their children to work together.
I work from home in the centre of Burford in relaxed and comfortable surroundings, with the optional accompaniment of my friendly long-haired Jack Russell. For young people coming to see me straight after a school day I provide drink and home-made cake to boost flagging energy levels.
As a counsellor and psychotherapist specializing in working with older children and adolescents I work in private practice and spent 4 years working at a local charity serving 13-25 year olds. I work mainly with young people and their parents. However, I also work with children, adults and couples.
I work in equipping people to deal with issues such as:
Would you like to be equipped with some practical tools to help you make sustainable changes in the way you relate to others? Do you want to learn how to handle difficult conversations with colleagues or family members? Are you fed up of getting caught up in negative patterns of behaviour? Maybe you simply want to learn how best to support the children in your care so that they can thrive? Whatever your situation, why not begin your journey now by signing up to a small group training course this year?

I run and host training courses for small staff teams in the Cotswolds at Rose Tree Cottage, set in beautiful gardens in the heart of the countryside. It is located on a quiet road between 2 farms and has stunning views all around. Its proximity to Burford, (a pretty, medieval town on the River Windrush) Oxford, and being within easy reach of London (close to Charlbury station) all make it an ideal venue for small group training days (maximum 10 participants) . Courses include delicious lunches and refreshments, using seasonal produce.
If you value your staff and want to improve your working climate please email me at email@example.com for further information.
"What a beautiful training venue! The food was superb and the training was a real eye opener. I feel better equipped to deal with relationships, not just at work, but at home too."
"A fascinating day which has really helped me to appreciate others in my team more. Rose Tree is a thoroughly relaxing place to learn. I feel inspired!"
I design and deliver bespoke workshops for schools and youth groups on a variety of topics such as Building Self-Esteem, Sex and Relationships, Bereavement, and Coping with Change in life.
